The TrolMaster MBS-TH 3-in-1 Sensor provides real-time temperature, relative humidity and day/night detection for compatible TrolMaster environmental control systems.

Designed to continuously monitor the grow environment, the MBS-TH sends temperature and humidity readings to the controller so connected climate-control equipment can automatically respond according to programmed setpoints.

Its built-in photocell detects the presence or absence of light, allowing the controller to automatically determine whether the grow room is operating in Day or Night mode. The photocell is designed for day/night detection only and does not measure light intensity or PPFD.

The MBS-TH uses a simple plug-and-play RJ12 connection and can be integrated into the controller's sensor network alongside compatible TrolMaster sensors.

This sensor is also ideal as a replacement or spare sensor for systems originally supplied with an MBS-TH.

Important: Sensor compatibility and maximum sensor quantities depend on the controller model.

What does the TrolMaster MBS-TH measure?

The MBS-TH monitors air temperature, relative humidity and light status. Its built-in photocell allows the controller to determine whether the grow environment is in Day or Night mode.

Does the MBS-TH measure light intensity or PPFD?

No. The built-in photocell only detects whether light is present or absent. It does not measure PAR, PPFD or light intensity. For PPFD monitoring, a compatible TrolMaster quantum sensor such as the MBS-PAR is required.

Can the MBS-TH control air conditioners, heaters or dehumidifiers directly?

No. The MBS-TH is a sensor. It sends environmental readings to the TrolMaster controller. The controller then operates compatible device stations or control modules connected to heating, cooling, humidification or dehumidification equipment.

Can I use the MBS-TH as a replacement sensor?

Yes. The MBS-TH can be used as a replacement or spare sensor for compatible TrolMaster systems that use this sensor.

Can other sensors be connected alongside the MBS-TH?

Yes. On compatible systems, additional sensors such as the MBS-S8 CO₂ sensor, MBS-PAR quantum sensor and other supported TrolMaster sensors can be connected to the sensor network according to the controller's specifications.
